Welcome to my Katsucon 2002 convention report! I must say, despite a few glitches, I was really happy with this convention. One bad was canceled panels, no uncensored guest panel! That was so much fun last year and it didn't happen this year:( . Also, more fansubs/rare anime could have been shown. Hand Maid May was finally shown, and despite bad reports I'd heard from other fans in the past, I thought it was a really nifty show, lots of fun to watch. This was also the first time I saw the famous Japanese game show, Takashi's Castle. That was a nice, sadistic laugh. The whole con was a very partying atmosphere, it never shut down, and the beads people were throwing me on Saturday reminded me very much of a Mardi Gras atmosphere. Real neat:) I wore a different costume every day of the convention. Friday, I was Merle, from Escaflowne, Saturday I was Himemiya Anshi from Utena, and Sunday I cosplayed as Ruri Hoshino from Nadeisco. The Ruri outfit I wore really needs a lot of work, and the wig really sucked, so it's back to the drawing board for that one. I attended a few panels, and the cosplay, and the opening and closing ceremonies along with other things. Nice convention, but like I said, a few things could have gone better. The biggest and best event of the evening was indeed the Cosplay event. Oh, that was soooo good! Great costumes, great performances. Everyone did a wonderful job! From some panels I attended, I wrote down a few notes, and placed them on their own pages.

The Yaoi/Yuri panel was a bit...lop-sided... in its presentation, but since I was there, and took notes, click here to see them.
