Welcome to my Shoujocon 2002 convention report! I must say I really enjoy this con. There was a lot of cool anime to watch, but I always say, the more fansubs/rare anime shown, the better. I finally got to see Gravitation, and Boku No Sexual Harrassment, which was fun. I must admit, until I saw more of Gravitation, I kinda thought it sucked. This convention really changed my mind. I even got to see the Gravitation OVA! Great programing decision, guys! I wore my Ichini Ryoma (sp?) costume from Prince of Tennis on Sunday. NOBODY recognized the character, despite the tennis racket...sigh. I was also Anthy Himemiya from Utena on Saturday. Another wig failure, I must learn how to style those wigs better! I attended a few panels, and 2 workshops.

I went to the doujinshi panel to see if I could learn anything new, but unfortunatley, only one person was really talking, and I got the feeling they weren't very knowledgeable about the subject. So I was a bit dissapointed by that panel.

The plushie workshop was interesting, but I didn't finish my plushie (it's even November and I haven't finished it though, haha) but the lack of materials kinda hindered the process. It was interesting though, I did learn something new.

The reading and writing in Japanese workshop was my favorite of the weekend, the young lady running it was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She had these lovely helpful sheets that she gave to everyone that had Kanji and Kana listed so we could test ourselves. Definately going back to that one if I can.

One other comment is the cosplay, it started an hour late because of technicalities:( I missed some good skits because of that and wanting to visit the shounen-ai love-in. Bummer.

I got some really good pictures. And here they are! Some will have comments, others won't. If, by chance, you are one of the people in this collection of pictures and want your image removed, please contact me and it will be done for you.
