DOLL INFORMATION

Name: Heero Yuy, Mecha pilot from Gundam Wing

Time to complete: Several months! Yikes.

Head and body info: Head and body are by Volks, the hair I bought from Noix de Rome, another doll supplier in Japan. This is my first anime doll where I rooted the hair using the "Tension Method." I don't think I did a great job, so I might make another doll like him. I put WAY too much hair on him, the poor guy. That's why I started my Gundam Wing Dolls with this particular character, because he has awful looking hair. People who have seen this doll joke about him trying to self-destruct with a finger in an electric socket. Poor Heero, people picking on him. I had to boil the doll's head in water for several seconds to get it to behave (yep, that's right, it was worse before the picture!). Realizing I couldn't do anything else with his hair, I painted the eyes with acrylic paint, then when the eyes dried, I painted it with a little clear gloss medium for extra safety.

Clothing: I made his little tank top out of some spare green fabric that I keep around just in case, then I used some black cotton for his shorts. His shoes are painted Ken shoes, and the socks are from spare fabric.
