DOLL INFORMATION

Name: Xanatos (Qui-Gon Jinn's second Padawan, turned to dark side)

Time to complete: Several months! Yikes.

Head and body info: GI Joe body. I ripped the bugger's head off (eh..hehehe sorry for being so graphic) to root the hair into the head. I would say it was excruciating to give this doll hair, as the plastic in the head is really thick. I used hair from barbie dolls (cheap ones with long black hair), then some craft doll hair (nice, but a bitch to straighten cause someone things dolls always need annoyingly curly hair), and finally, I bought a straight hair doll wig, cut off that hair, and used it. I had to boil the doll's head in water for several seconds to get it to behave. Done with the hair rooting process at last, I painted the body a real pale color to match his description in the Jedi Apprentice novels (his only appearance). His eyes were painted blue as well. Once I realized that the paint was coming off too easily, I varnished it with a matte finish for the body, finishing it off with gloss for the eyes.

Clothing: He is wearing a spare Darth Maul outfit (love a guy in black, eh?). If anyone can think of any other outfit as described in the novels, please email me.
